The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have activated RHP CARLOS VILLANUEVA from the 15-day disabled list and have designated LHP BRIAN TALLET for assignment. VILLANUEVA, 27, was placed on the disabled list on August 4 with a right forearm strain. The 6-2, 225 lb. right-handed pitcher has appeared in 26 games, 13 starts for the Blue Jays this summer posting a 6-3 record with a 4.24 ERA. This is his first season with the Blue Jays after being acquired from the Milwaukee Brewers on December 3, 2010 for cash considerations.
