Eckhardt’s Wavier Wire Ride was Brief

Rocket Sports & Entertainment Network learned today that less than 24 hours after being waived by the Lefroy Wave of the GMHL Tampa’s  Connor Eckhardt was picked up by the Shelburne Red Wings of the same league.

Sources in the Red Wings organization and Eckhardt’s family confirm the plan is to have Eckhardt on the ice for tomorrow morning’s practice.  The next game is Friday and Eckhardt should be dressed when the Red Wings host,  yes you guessed it,  the Lefroy Wave.

The Wings are based in the small town of Shelburne Ontario and are lead by head coach Nikita Vasilyev.  The Red Wings play their home games at the Centre Dufferin Recreational complex in Shelburne and currently have a record of 2-5.
