Phils in Clearwater for 2023 Spring

Phillies players were working out on Monday at the Carpenter Complex in Clearwater, Florida. The Phillies first workout for pitchers and catcher is scheduled for February 16th with the first full squad workout scheduled for February 21st.

Phillies Spring Training

HP Clay Buchholz, below,  takes PFP (pitchers fielding practice) on Tuesday at the Phillies Carpenter Complex.  Acquired from the Red Sox during the off season Buchholz was 8-10 with a 4.78 era in 2016 with the Sox.  In 2005 Buchholz was the Red Sox first round pick in the draft.

  Even though spring training doesn’t start for about a week Rob Ducey (LEFT), hitting coach for Class-A Clearwater and Phillies hitting coach Matt Stairs get an early look see at some of the talent in camp.
