Threshers Release 2011 Promotions Schedule

By on March 7, 2011

Greetings!

Clearwater Threshers officially unveil the promotions schedule for the 2011 season, featuring Domonic Brown Bobblehead Night, an appearance by the Phillie Phanatic, Pitch for Pink, and the return of the daily promotions.

The season kicks off on April 8 with the first of 12 fireworks shows scheduled for the year, as every Saturday home game will also feature a post-game display that will light up the sky.

Bark at the Ballpark is marked for April 10 and July 9 allowing fans to bring their dogs out to Bright House Field for the price of general admission. All proceeds from those tickets will go to the Humane Society of Pinellas. May 18 will feature a special happy hour, or Yappy Hour, as fans can bring their favorite canines when the Charlotte Stone Crabs come to visit.

In case you missed it this spring, the Phillie Phanatic will make a special appearance on April 21 when the Threshers take on the Brevard County Manatees.

The following evening on April 22, the Threshers will honor former outfielder Domonic Brown with a special bobblehead sponsored by the Holiday Inn Express. Brown played 66 games with the Threshers in 2009, putting up a .303 average with 11 home runs and made it to the big leagues this past season, playing 35 games for the Phillies.

If the mood to boogie strikes you, come over to the ballpark on May 13 for 70’s Night and stick around after the game for a live performance by Disco Inferno, who will be playing all your favorite hits from the groovy decade.

Team partner Bright House Networks gives back to the fans on May 6 for Customer Appreciation Night and also on May 20 for Beach Night when it sponsors a free Threshers beach towel giveaway.

The Threshers have two special fundraisers planned over the summer months as the team hosts Prostate Cancer Awareness Night on June 24 and Pitch for Pink on July 22. Both events have been highly successful in the past due to generous community contributions and fan participation as the Threshers try to raise money for cancer research. The contest on June 24 will feature a blue Threshers jersey giveaway sponsored by LaQuinta Inn and the Pitch for Pink will feature a special giveaway presented by Banquet Masters.

Also, don’t miss out on the largest and most extravagant fireworks show on this side of the bay to celebrate our nation’s birthday on July 2 and July 3, presented by Budweiser.

Other notable events this season include Tattoo Night (June 1), 80’s Night (June 3), Military Appreciation Night (July 1), Motorcycle Night (July 23), Country Night (August 5), Back-To-School Kids Backpack Giveaway (August 7), Wing Fest (August 8), and Used Car Giveaway Night (August 26).
