Wellington, FL –   On Sunday March 25th former and current players from the NFL, along with local professional poker celebrities Josh Hillock, Abbey Daniels, Walt Strakowski (all three recently played in the World Series of Poker Championship at the Palm Beach Kennel Club) will all be playing poker for charity.  Local NFL players such as: Tampa Bay Buc’s James Lee and Errict Rhett, Miami Dolphins Jim Jensen, Roy Foster and John Bock, Baltimore Ravens Emanuel Cook and Lional Dalton, as well as X102.3’s “Babalu Bad Boyz” will all be trying not to get knocked out of play.  Celebrity emcee for the event will be WPTV Channel 5’s Keli Fulton.

There will be a complimentary player buffet and soft drinks from 12:00-1:00pm, as well as free player gift bags for all registered players and celebrities.  Buy in is $50.00 with $20.00 re-buys. All money raised through buy-ins, re-buys and add-ons, will be split between the Tyler McLellan Foundation and the top 10% of the field. The tournament will start at 1pm sharp and will have celebrity bounties with prizes.

TMF President Kevin McLellan says: “We are looking to attract players who enjoy supporting a great cause, along with a good game of “Texas Hold ‘Em to join us. Our celebrity poker players are here to have fun and give their support to the foundation, and will be more than happy to give a few tips to our players”.  “You never know who you’ll see at this event”.  McLellan adds:

The event is presented by the Palm Beach Kennel Club and sponsored by: Arrigo Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Golden Corral, Delray’s Finest Signs, X102.3, BB Kings Blues Club,

Miss Geico Racing Team, the Shirt Guru, MD NOW, Palm Beach International Raceway, Divine Pixel, and ESPN 760.

The Tyler McLellan Foundation was started after the McLellan’s lost their 15-year old son in an “Angel Flight” plane crash in Tampa on July 17, 2008.  Since then, they have done everything they could to raise money for youth sports in South Florida.    The foundation is geared towards rewarding perseverance and not allowing a family’s finances to hold players back.
