September 26, 2011 at the team’s Bobby Mattick Complex prior to leaving for the Arizona Fall League on Wednesday.  The Blue Jays signed Hechavarria, a Cuban refugee, to a four-year, $10-million contract in April 2010.  After splitting 2010 between Class-A Dunedin and Double-A New Hampshire Hechavarria spent 2011 between New Hampshire and Triple-A Las Vegas where he hit .235 and .389 respectively.  The 22-year old didn’t get a September call up by Toronto as he is in the process of getting his American citizenship.
