AJ Burnett has agreed to a one-year $8.5M contract to rejoin the Pittsburgh Pirates. After rejecting the $12.75M player option to stay with the Philadelphia Phillies; Burnett had this to say…

“I want to win a ring, and I want to win a ring in Pittsburgh.”

Burnett has played for five different teams throughout his 16-year MLB career. In 2012, with Pittsburgh, he reached 16 wins, the second most in his career (18 in 2008 with Toronto). In his second season with the Pirates, Burnett sported a career low 3.30 ERA.
