And the Title Goes to…

KentuckyKENTUCKY WINS!  There, I said it.  By now it is a foregone conclusion amongst pundits, analysts and amateur bracketologists that Kentucky will win the 2015 NCAA tournament.  Or will they?

Wisconsin is the only team that can match up size wise with the Cats.  Wisconsin has 3 players 6’9’’ or taller that can shoot the three.  Led by Frank Kaminsky, who at 7’0’’ is shooting 41.5 % from beyond the arc.  Offensively, Wisconsin rarely turns the ball over, committing 7 turnovers per game.  Oh yeah, revenge is also on the mind of the Badgers, who have not forgotten that it was the Wildcats who knocked them out of the Final Four last year defeating the Badgers 74-73.

DukeDuke just might be the only team that can keep up with Kentucky’s up tempo offense.  Having stepped up its game during the tournament, the Blue Devils are averaging 70 points per game compared to 72.5 for Kentucky.  Also, both teams are holding their opponents to 53 points per game.  If Duke beats Michigan State, we could see a championship matchup between the potential top 2 picks in the upcoming NBA draft in Karl Anthony Towns and Jahil Okafor.

MSULastly, there is Michigan State.  All you need to know about Michigan State is Tom Izzo.  Izzo owns March.  He has a 37-14 NCAA tournament record and has done a remarkable job with a team that does not have a superstar or a player over 6’9’’.

In order for any team to beat Kentucky, a team will need to be perfect.  Being perfect is difficult and impossible.  So rest assured Wildcats fans, the only team that can beat Kentucky is Kentucky.  Come Tuesday morning, the Wildcats will have their title and an undefeated season.
