BLUE JAYS AGREE TO TERMS WITH RHP BRANDON MORROW

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have agreed to terms with RHP BRANDON MORROW on a US $2.3 million contract for the 2011 season.
MORROW, 26, posted a 10-7 record with a 4.49 ERA, in his first season as a Blue Jay and a full-time starter. The Phoenix, Arizona resident came within one out of a no-hitter vs. TB on Aug. 8, becoming just the 4th pitcher since 1954 to record 17 strikeouts when tossing a complete game one-hitter. The right-hander is a combined 18-19 with 16 saves and a 4.19 ERA in 157 career games, including 41 starts.
