The TORONTO BLUE JAYS are pleased to recognize the Hall of Fame career of ROBERTO ALOMAR prior to the contest against the Texas Rangers on Sunday, July 31 at 1:07pm. Fans are encouraged to arrive early as the first 10,000 fans will receive a commemorative ROBERTO ALOMAR bobblehead.
Many of Alomar’s teammates will be on hand to celebrate the occasion during a pre-game ceremony featuring tributes to Robbie’s illustrious career. As one of nine men on the Level of Excellence, the 12-time All-Star spent five seasons in Toronto, winning two World Series Championships, including being named ALCS MVP in 1992, and winning Gold Gloves in each of those seasons. The former second basemen batted .300 over his 17-year career, winning four Silver Slugger Awards, and participated in the playoffs with three different clubs, finishing with a .313 post-season average.
