Bright House Field Set to Host Hops for Hospice 

CLEARWATER, Fla.- The Clearwater Threshers and Frenchy’s Restaurants present the 2nd Annual Hops for Hospice Beer Festival on Saturday, October 9, 2010 from 4-8 pm at beautiful Bright House Field (601 N Old Coachman Rd) in Clearwater.  All proceeds from this event benefit the Suncoast Hospice Foundation.

Over 100 different beers from around the world will be available for sampling from Great Bay Distributors, JJ Taylor, and Florida Micro Beverage. Every attendee will receive a commemorative beer mug for sampling and must be 21 years or older to enter.

The night is sure to be a memorable event for everyone who attends.  There will be an opportunity to win a 42” plasma screen TV courtesy of Abe’s Mugs on Missouri.  Another special treat that will accompany this great event is the chance to enjoy the music of one of the best bands in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area, Mighty Mongo.  There will also be an assortment of other local talent present.  The first 500 tickets sold will receive a $10.00 gift certificate for Abe’s Mugs on Missouri as well.

The benefits will go directly to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation.  The foundation has been helping the people of Pinellas County since 1977.  They have grown to become the nation’s leading not-for-profit hospice organization.  The benefits will help the foundation to continue their existing programs as well as developing new services as they arise.

The Clearwater Threshers hold community outreach in high regards and strive to have a positive presence throughout the Tampa Bay area.  The Threshers are the Class A Florida State League affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies who have made Clearwater their Spring Training home for 64 years.
