Canadian Mike Soroka Enters This Spring Training with A Positive Attitude

   At just 19 and has been playing pro ball since he was 17 so the Atlanta Braves first pick in the June 2015 Draft, 28th overall, Calgary, Ab. native Mike Soroka is liking what he is seeing.

     “It’s going really well,” said the right handed Soroka of his second spring training, “I am excited to get going again.”

     Looking toward the 2017 season after posting a 9-11 record with a collective 3.05 era in his first two seasons Soroka is positive.

     “It’s not really decided until the end of spring training but always is the goal to keep moving,” said Soroka.  “Hopefully it’s the same as we had last year with the guys we had in Rome (Ga.) and hopefully bring home another championship somewhere.”

     Soroka was ask if he would like to have the chance to play for Team Canada in this year’s WBC?

     “Yes, it is something I would definitely love to do,” said Soroka
