CECIL SCRATCHED, MCGOWAN TO START AGAINST YANKS TONIGHT

TORONTO, ONTARIO    

 The TORONTO BLUE JAYS will start RHP DUSTIN McGOWAN tonight against the New York Yankees as LHP BRETT CECIL has sustained a cut on his left index finger.             McGOWAN, 29, will make his third appearance of the season and second start.  He is currently 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA in his return to Toronto after not pitching in the majors since July 8, 2008.              CECIL, 25, is day to day and is scheduled to miss only one start due to the injury.  The 6-1, 235 lb. left handed pitcher cut his finger while cleaning out a blender.  This season he is 4-9 with a 4.37 ERA in 18 starts with Toronto.
