Toronto, Ontario Thursday, June 23, 2011  Festivities, tradition and honour mark this last series of 2011 Interleague play on Friday, July 1 at 1:07 p.m. as your Toronto Blue Jays host the Philadelphia Phillies for the first game of a three game weekend series. Join the Blue Jays for a pregame Canada Day Street Festival on Bremner Blvd from 10:00 am to 1:00pm with hosts from CityTV Roger Petersen and Sangita Patel. The festival will feature live music, family entertainment, food, and a variety of kid’s games and prizes. The first 10,000 fans to enter the stadium will receive a free Canada Day t-shirt and 40,000 fans will also receive a mini Canadian flag to commemorate this special day. In continuation of the Blue Jays initiative to support Amateur Baseball in Canada, the Jays will be hosting the Canadian Jr. National Team and will recognize the team on field pregame along with the Minor Mosquito Aurora Jays. During the pregame ceremony and throughout the game the Blue Jays will honour our Canadian Forces. Canada’s celebrated athlete and legendary “Man in Motion”, Rick Hansen is celebrating his 25th Anniversary World Tour and will throw out the first pitch.
