Charity Poker Tournament to Benefit Youth Sports–2nd Annual “Tyler’s Team”

Wellington, FL – The Tyler McLellan Foundation is calling all poker players to the 2nd Annual “Tyler’s Team” Charity Poker Classic Sunday March 25th at the Palm Beach Kennel Club. 

The Texas Hold’Em fundraiser will have complimentary food and soft drinks from 12:00-1:00pm for all registered players and celebrities, along with a 50/50 raffle and silent auction.  Buy in is $50.00 with $20.00 re-buys. If you pre-register before March 1st, you’ll pay only $40.00.  The tournament will start at 1pm sharp and again this year they will have celebrity bounties with prizes. The “POT” will be paid out to the top 10% of the field.

 At last years event, players had a chance to mingle and play against Jim Jensen & John Bock of the Miami Dolphins, Errict Rhett Tampa Bay Buccaneers & UF Gators (these three have confirmed for this year), Jeff Juden of the Philadelphia Phillies, James Lee Tampa Bay Bucs,  Emanuel Cook NY Jets, John Martin (aka-JMART) of ESPN 760, and Gus DeMoulin Florida Panther’s Trainer, our guest emcee was Jim Sackett of WPTV Channel 5.

“We are looking to attract players who enjoy giving to a great cause, along with a good game of “Texas Hold ‘Em to join us.  We even have a few celebrity poker players, current and former NFL players as well as local media celebrities we are calling on to play.  “You just never know who you’ll see at this event”.  McLellan adds: “you can watch our website and facebook page for updates as to celebrities that we have invited and that have confirmed”.

 The Tyler McLellan Foundation was started after the McLellan’s lost their 15-year old son in an “Angel Flight” plane crash in Tampa on July 17, 2008.  Since then, they have done everything they could to raise money for youth sports in South Florida.    The foundation is geared towards rewarding perseverance and not allowing a family’s finances to hold players back.
