Dustin McGowan and Aaron Hill see Action in Dunedin

DUNEDIN, Fl. (RSEN)–Toronto Blue Jays RHP Dustin McGowan (two arm and one knee surgery) pitched one plus inning in a simulated game Wednesday, his first game action in over two years.  “Every time I go out I am gradually getting more and more on it,” said McGowan, “The good thing is the arm feels great.”  Comparing previous outing where he had set backs McGowan said, “I am not throwing a pitch and grimacing afterwards because of the pain.  This time I knew I had to take it slow as possible, now I go out there and get pumped to pitch and not worry about the pain.”  McGowan hopes to eventually get into some real games this year but is on no time table according to the team’s rehab pitching coordinator Rick Langford.
