FEST! Returns to Gainesville

The Florida underground festival known simply as FEST is returning to Gainesville this October for the 17th year. FEST will take over Downtown Gainesville on October 26th, 27th, & 28th. With 400+ Bands, Comedians, Wrestling, Podcasts, and thosands of fans filling out 20 venues.

The music lineup this year is headlined by Punk Rock Icons Lagwagon, who will be playing ‘Let’s Talk About Feelings’ in its entirety. You can catch their set at Bo Diddley Plaza Saturday at 9:50pm. Headliners that are playing Friday include Cursive, The Menzingers, and FEST regular Tim Barry. The Lawrence Arms, Metz, and Comeback Kid are some of the headliners playing Saturday. And Iron Chic, The Get Up Kids and Mustard Plug are closing out FEST on Sunday. 

Other activities going on include the Fest Comedy Showcase. Which includes Dave Cross, Ayna Volz, and Ben Roy. There are also some live Podcasts that will take place, including ‘The Whole Ref’n Show’, ‘What Ales Ya’, and ‘Angry Grrrl Music Of The Indie Rock Persuasion’. 

One of the most unique and exciting events happening during the weekend is Fest Wrestling. FEST has their own wrestling promotion that has regular events throughout the year. Sunday’s shows is considered the biggest show of the year with a stacked lineup including Matt Cross, Arik Cannon and former WWE Star Simon Grimm. The event will be headlined by Fest Wrestling Champion Effy going against Jason Cade, Saieve Al Sabah, and Serpentico.
