JUST MIX: gin, lemon juice, sugar and club soda… Above, a non drafted free agent Tom Collins III pleased his parents who were watching today in Lakeland when he homered for the first time in his pro career. Not to be outdone Collins homered during his second at bat two innings later. Collins then singled (shown) two innings later as the GCL Blue Jays beat the Tigers 15-5. The 3-5 game with four RBI raised the Texas native’s average to .351 with 12 RBI.

GCL Tiger right-hander Dean Aldridge struggled a bit on today allowing two runs on five hits while walking one and striking out two over two and a third innings against the Blue Jays. Aldridge has yet to register his first pro decision. (EDDIE MICHELS PHOTO)
