I Ott to be a GM Eastern Conference – Atlantic Division

Philadelphia 76er’s

My Thoughts:

Jeff Van Gundy will be offered the head coaching position and from there the changes are just getting started. This team has tons of talent, some more obvious than others.  The guards are stacked and luckily you can ship some off to fill the holes with the big men.

How I make it work:

– A Van Gundy team needs some attitude and that can be reached by trading with old friend Mark Jackson in Golden State. Ellis and David Lee want out. So I trade Igoudala, Turner, Vucevic, and Meeks for David Lee and Monta Ellis.

– I trade Lou Williams to the Lakers for Matt Barnes and Josh McRoberts.

– During the draft I unload Elton Brand by offering him, my 2012 1st round pick and my 2013 1st round unprotected pick for the rights of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

Future Outlook:

Tons of talent and tons of attitude will make the Van Gundy Regime reign supreme! Ellis is the sparkplug of this team, but just about anybody on the team can score. Look Out folks this team could make the Bad Boys look tame.

Boston Celtics:

My Thoughts:

Doc Rivers is going nowhere; this is a top notch coach that has an aging group of superstars and a Point Guard that could land him a new team. This team is about to transform before your eyes into a new Eastern Powerhouse.

How I make it work:

– I trade Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo to the Nets for Deron Williams and Brook Lopez. The Nets get a Point Guard that is locked into a contract for the 4 years, a vet in Allen that could teach the younger guys a ton. Williams would thrive in Doc Rivers system and Lopez adds size.

– Kevin Garnett would not be resigned unless he would take a major pay cut.

– I use the draft pick for the Clippers via the Thunder and my own 1st round pick and Brandon Bass to own the rightd of Anthony Davis or Andre Drummond, either one of these guys with D. Will and Paul Pierce will have great mentors and will be able to ease into the pro’s.

Future Outlook:

With the addition of Deron Williams a flock of big men will want to come and play, Lopez will be a solid back up, whichever rookie ends up on the team will be surrounded by great leaders.

New York Knicks:

My Thoughts:

Knicks need a new head coach, a major roster shake-up and a championship. It’s actually pretty simple and doesn’t take much to turn this team around.

How I make it work:

– I fire Mike D’Antoni and offer the job to Mike Budenholzer, he has been Gregg Popovich’s for years. It’s time he had a shot of his own team.

– I trade Stoudemire to the Kings for J.J. Hickson, John Salmons and Jason Thompson and 2013 unprotected draft pick.

Future Outlook:

With one trade the Knicks can free up money, add a draft pick and get rid of a lot of dead weight. This is Melo’s team and they guys around him will feed him nonstop.

Toronto Raptors:

My Thoughts:

Well to be honest it would be hard for me to be the GM of this team. Who really wants to live in Canada? But if the job was offered to me I would do my best to make it a great team.

How I make it work:

– I fire Dwayne Casey

– I hire Ettore Messina as the Head Coach

– I trade DeRozan to the Timberwolves for Pekovic.

-I trade Amir and James Johnson to the Bucks for Delfino and Ilyasova.

Future Outlook:

It may not end up being the best team in the NBA but it would draw in a huge overseas crowd and that alone would be worth it.

New Jersey Nets:

My Thoughts:

I will keep Deron Williams.  I promise D-Will he can help choose our teams roster.

How I make it work:

– I talk to him. I’m very persuasive.

Future Outlook:

I will have to wear shades! With the Russians money and a new home this is a very easy sell to just about any free agent.
