Dunedin, Fla.– A slow RA Dickey start, a crushing, season ending injury to Marcus Stroman and a 5-3 loss to the Minnesota Twins, could have anything gone right today?

YES! Enter Jose Bautista and the Wood family from Thornton, Ontario.   The Wood family was down for their first spring training game in Dunedin.  The Wood family:  Benn and Charlotte Wood and the three children Oscar, Jasper and Bella.   Oscar came dressed as his favorite Blue Jay Jose Bautista, or as many of us like to affectionately refer to him as “Joey Bats.”    There is no surprise here as Joey Bats, just being Joey Bats,  made it a spring Oscar would never forgot by meeting him and signing a ball.

Thank you Joey Bats for making a positive story today!
