TAMPA BAY – Tampa Bay Lightning players Vincent Lecavalier, Martin St.
Louis, Ryan Malone, Victor Hedman, Teddy Purcell and Nate Thompson will go
ALL IN to fight cancer in the 2011 Brighthouse Networks Cut for a Cure,
presented by Carrabba’s Italian Grill, it was announced last night at the
Pediatric Cancer Foundation’s Fashion Funds the Cure. Also participating
will be Bolts alumnus Stan Neckar as well as Sun Sports rinkside reporter
Paul Kennedy.

“I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be involved in this year’s Cut
for a Cure,“ Lecavalier said. ”I’m even more excited to partner my
foundation with a great organization like the Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
I would like to sincerely thank my teammates and all those who are
involved in putting on such a wonder event.”

Cut For a Cure is a fundraiser that benefits the Pediatric Cancer
Foundation (PCF) as well as the Vincent Lecavalier Pediatric Cancer and
Blood Disorders Center at All Children’s Hospital. PCF raises funds for
research and pays for clinical trials to find faster, safer treatments.
The Lecavalier Center treats patients on an in- and out-patient basis.

Beginning today and ending on Friday, May 6, each player will try and
reach a predetermined fundraising goal. In order to make a pledge fans

made online with a credit card or by mail via the sites. The players’
efforts will be reinforced by promotion during Lightning home games as
well as on Brighthouse Networks.

The head-shaving will take place on Thursday, April 7 at 5:30 p.m. at the
Pepin Hospitality Center.
