Litsch Looks Good

LAKELAND, Fl.–(RSEN) The good news for the Toronto Blue Jays is that RHP Jesse Litsch appears healthy and back in the form of two years ago when he won 13-games in the show.

     Against a pretty good Tigers lineup Litsch allowed  just one hit and struck out one over two innings in a Jays 1-0 loss.

     The bad news is that on Monday there will be no Roy Halladay-Kyle Drebek match up in Dunedin.

     Oh Halladay will be there but Drebek is sidelined with a stiff neck.

     “He was scratched earlier this morning because of a stiff neck as recently as Frriday morning,” said manager John Ferrell of Drebek.  “While it has shown improvement we don’t feel it’s prudent to put him in a start situation tomorrow at home so he will just skip a start and start Saturday.”

 

JAYS NOTES: In two exhibition games this spring the Jays have yet to score a run. …Brett Lawie, whom the Jays got in a trade with the Brewers started his first major league game of any type at third Sunday.  Lawie did admit starting one spring game at second and as a late inning substitution three other times while with the Brewers.
