Murray: Panther to Dawg, No Problem

ATHENS, Ga. (RSE) – Plant High’s Aaron Murray made the transition from playing in Palma Ceia to playing in Athens look easy.  Murray led the 23rd ranked Bulldogs over the Ragin’ Cajuns of La-Lafayette 55-7.

Murray’s actions said, no AJ Green no problem, Aaron was 17 for 26 passing with 160 yards and 3 TD’s and he  rushed for 42 yards and a TD.  The TD run came on a senior-like decision not the throw the ball, tuck it and take off down the sidelines.  This gave the home red clad Dawgs a 31-7 halftime lead.

Although this was a great start,  Murray was humble after the game,  knowing he wants to improve as the competition in the SEC will be tough… Next week it’s off to South Carolina to play the Gamecocks to open the conference schedule.   The Spurrier coached team will be a tough opponent especially at home.

This is a must see game for Tampa football fans because it will match Plant’s Murray against former Jefferson Dragon star Stephen Garcia at QB for South Carolina.
