“Alfred is a big strong kid that is going to have the opportunity to come in here and show us what he has,” said vice president of football operations Jeff Gooch.  “Teams are always looking for athletic big men and we are excited to give him an opportunity.”

McCullough (6-foot-2, 330 lbs., Alabama) will enter his first season in the Arena Football League with the Tampa Bay Storm.  A versatile lineman, he saw action at Alabama on both the offensive and defensive line.

A two-time national champion with the Tide (2009 and 2011), he received an invitation to rookie mini-camp with the Baltimore Ravens only to sign and attend 2012 training camp with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Athens, AL, native started six games while appearing in 31 for Alabama including two starts at left tackle protecting the blind-side of A.J. McCarron.  McCullough also helped lead his high school team (Athens H.S.) to the Class 5A Alabama State Championship his senior season.

The Five-Time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm was awarded the 2012 AFL Support Staff of the Year.  The 2013 season kicks off at home Saturday, March 23 at 7:30 PM versus South Division rival Jacksonville Sharks.  Season tickets are available, for more information call 813.301.6600 or visit www.tampabaystorm.com.
