Some guys are drafted knowing that it will be a process to coach them up, they have “High Ceilings” but they just need the right atmosphere and the right system to help them reach that ceiling. Other players are drafted to start immediately and impact the tram significantly from the first snap of the season. Some guys do impact the team immediately, some do more harm than good so why don’t we dive into five players that will make impacts on their organization and how they will do it.

1. Amari Cooper: Oakland Raiders:

Cooper brings NFL ready size, speed, hands and pedigree to the Raiders. Cooper will give Carr a real target and together they have a chance to make the Raiders a competitive team again.

 2. Bud Dupree: Pittsburgh Steelers:

Dupree was a guy that could have gone in the top 12, for some reason he dropped and the Steelers jumped on him faster than Roethlisberger does a drunk girl at a bar. Dupree may not start but he’ll get enough time on the field to make an impact on what was last season an aging Linebacker group.

 3. Danny Shelton: Cleveland Browns:

The big Samoan will stuff the run and find his way to the QB enough to earn his way on this list. Like Dupree, he may not start but he will impact the team. Browns will see the top group of RB’s in the league this year, by the likes of Le’Veon Bell (twice unless he gets arrested for Marijuana again), Marshawn Lynch, and Jamaal Charles. The Browns will also see Bishop Sankey, Melvin Gordon, Todd Gurley, and Carlos Hyde so Shelton will have every chance to prove his worth.

 4. Ameer Abdullah: Detroit Lions:

I will say it now… I think Abdullah will be the starter and I think he might be the best Running Back the Lions have had since Barry Sanders. I am not saying he is as good or will be as great as the GREATEST RUNNING BACK IN THE HOSTORY OF THE NFL but the Lions have not had much luck in the backfield since Sanders left.

 5. Jameis Winston: Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

Winston has already been handed the starting position, so far he hasn’t been arrested for theft of any crustaceans and as far as I know he hasn’t dosed any college students recently. But that doesn’t mean he won’t fall of the wagon, I’ll be here when he does, I’ll be here telling the Bucs “I told you so.” Winston thinks he is untouchable and that attitude will only get worse as he has more and more money coming in. the biggest impact he will make on the organization will be that he helps them forget about guys like Josh Freeman, Trent Dilfer,  Mike Glennon and yes even Vinny Testaverde.

You see in the NFL guys can impact their team in more ways than just making plays, they impact them on and off the field and these five will all do something for their organization, some will make the leap from College to the NFL without any problem, others will have to work for it and others (Winston) will just prove that drafting guys will character issues is just about the worst things a team can do, especially when you have more than one need at multiple positions.
