Quickie in Dunedin-Pirates 1 Jays 0

Dunedin, Fla.- With little scoring the game just flew by in less than 2 1/2 hours in a game featuring only one run and nine hits. The Pirates scored in the top of the 5th on a Brett Morel two bagger that scored Jose Tabata. The Pirates had six hits to the Jays three. The Toronto hits were from Josh Donaldson, Ramon Santiago and Dwight Smith, Jr.

Toronto reliever Todd Redmond got two for one on one pitch in the top of the fourth inning on Sunday. Redmond got Pittsburgh batter Francisco Cervelli but also plate umpire D.J. Reyburn. Trainers from both teams rushed out to attend those hit with Reyburn appearing to get the worst. After slight delay play continued with the visiting Buc’s winning 1-0 over the Blue Jays.
