Rick picks NFL Games on Sports Tonight with Tommy G

By on September 16, 2011

Wednesday Night, September 14th 2011 on Sports Tonight with Tommy G, Rocket Sports & Entertainment’s Rick Sassone was asked to pick this weekend’s NFL games.  Here’s Rick’s Picks with comments, straight-up:

Minnesota over Tampa Bay (Doesn’t matter who is playing QB for the Vikes… two letters: AP)

Green Bay over Carolina (Aaron Rodgers – Cam Newton, this isn’t the Cardinals or Crimson Tide, Cam)

Buffalo over  Oakland (Ryan Fitzpatrick is no Jim Kelly but the Bills have their best team in years)

Detroit over KC (Best Lions team since the merger.  Pick them in a survivor pool this week and Maurice Stovall was on the show this night also)

Indianapolis over Cleveland (Indy is that bad without Peyton, bad game on the road, Texans are good, Browns are not)

New Orleans over Chicago (New Orleans home, Brees too much)

NY Jets over Jacksonville (Rex Ryan said the Jets would win the Super Bowl this year, then they should surely crush the Jags!?)

Pittsburgh over Seattle (Seahawks are horrible)

Baltimore over Tennessee (Lewis and Suggs lead a nasty defense that will pummell Mr. “Holdout” Johnson, less than 40 rushing yards)

Arizona over Washington (Kevin Kolb gets a chance to prove himself this year, week 2 here we go. Bill Bidwell – Dan Schneider going in different directions)

San Francisco over Dallas (Jim Harbaugh mentors Alex Smith, at the “Stick” and 49ers will give Cardinals run for division)

Cincinnati over Broncos (Bungals 2 and 0? Andy Daulton’s a winner, Kyle Orton is not)

Miami over Houston (Upset in South Florida, Henne does have some outside weapons)

New England over San Diego (Until somebody shows this offense can be slowed down, keep picking them)

Atlanta over Philadelphia (Brian VanGorder’s gang shuts down Vick and the Eagles in the dome)

NY Giants over St. Louis (Monday Night in the Meadowlands, Giants roll over the frail Lambs)
