September 4th 2011 was not a good day in Tampa Bay, it was the day Leroy Selmon passed away. In a press conference this week, Bulls head coach Willie Taggart made reference to the vision of Leroy Selmon for USF football. “The vision that Leroy, Leroy Selmon had… coming and taking this job, it was really important to me to try to… continue that vision and make it a reality.  What he (Leroy Selmon) thought this program could be, it can be that.” said Taggart.

After trouncing Towson a week ago,  here at the stadium formerly known as Tampa Stadium, it was take two with the Northern Illinois Huskies.   Do I go there?  Hammer the Huskies?

Ah… no.  But decisive wins at home in back to back weeks, will go a long way.

Rodney Adams got the party started with an 11 yard TD and the Bulls bolted to a 27-7 halftime lead.

The second Bulls TD was a 73 yard pitch and catch from Quinton Flowers to Ryeshene Bronson.  Bronson was the game high receiver with 113 yards on 3 receptions.  Flowers that was the commencement of a record setting evening.  Flowers would finish the night 21-33 350 yards and 4 TDs.

“Our guys went out and executed… I’m really proud of our guys,” said Taggart after the game.  Offensively the Bulls rolled up 658 in total yards in route to a 48-17 victory.

“2 and 0, its been a while since we’ve been 2 and 0 around here!  Climbing is easier than hanging on!” Taggart exclaimed. Takes me to “The Vision” start off with two crushing wins at home to start the season 2-0… a win next week at the ‘Cuse to set up an undefeated match vs. FSU in two weeks from tonight.  A sunshine state upset?  We’ll keep the talk going…  more Monday on the show at 1pm ET.
