Sponger Football is coming to the Airwaves
By ROCKET SPORTS and ENTERTAINMENT NETWORK on August 8, 2012Tarpon Springs, Fla. – Rocket Sports & Entertainment Network has partnered up with Tarpon Springs High School and broadcast sponsor Florida Hospital of North Pinellas to bring you high school football action over the Tan Talk Radio Network.
Rocket Sports & Entertainment Network will broadcast all regular season games of the Tarpon Springs Spongers on WTAN 1340AM , www.tantalk1340.com and www.rocketsports-ent.com. Rick Sassone and Travis Failey will be calling the action live from Tarpon Springs High School and all the road venues.
Rick Sassone of Rocket Sports & Entertainment said, “The whole Rocket Sports & Entertainment organization is super excited about producing broadcasts for the Tarpon Springs Spongers. And personally, being the voice of the Spongers is a great honor.”
Jennifer DeCurtis, Director of Marketing and Public Relations Manager for Florida Hospital of North Pinellas said, “We are proud to support the Tarpon Springs High School football team this year, both on and off the field, and are excited to partner with such an integral part of our community.” DeCurtis continued, “Our hope is that by helping to bring the games to the radio waves this year, the families, friends and fans of our Tarpons Springs Spongers will have the opportunity to cheer on their favorite team, even if they can’t make it to the game.”
Head Coach Ron Hawn could not be more excited. “Being able to work with Florida Hospital thus far has been great! Tarpon is a small town with a big heart and we need to take the extra step to support each other. I’m looking forward to a continued and growing relationship between Tarpon Football and Florida Hospital, Hawn said. Hawn also went on to say, “It will allow us to expand our brand of football and to positively share the successes of our players with the community. Overall it gives us one more opportunity to come together as a community in support of Maroon and White.”
