TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Storm is pleased to announce the acquisition of defensive lineman James Morehead.

“We’re always looking to bolster our roster,” said vice president of football operations Jeff Gooch.  “James has the size and ability to be effective on our defensive line.”

Morehead (6-foot-6, 320 lbs., Colorado State University) spent part of the 2011 season as a member of the Montreal Alouettes’ (CFL) practice squad.

Before turning pro, he was a defensive standout for the CSU Rams, tallying 44 tackles, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble and fumble recovery.  He also played on special teams where he had a blocked kick.

The Five-Time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm was awarded the 2012 AFL Support Staff of the Year.  The 2013 season kicks off at home Saturday, March 23 at 7:30 PM versus South Division rival Jacksonville Sharks.  Season tickets are available, for more information call  813.301.6600 or visit www.tampabaystorm.com.
