The NCAA Tournament of Madness Continues…..
By Chris Lemke on March 21, 2018
LET THE MADNESS CONTINUE…
As we head into the 2nd Week of the 2018 NCAA’s version of insanity, it has definitely failed to disappoint, as usual. And that’s exactly why I don’t want you to know my flops (Arizona to the Championship Game), or my bragging rights (I did take Loyola & Nevada to the Sweet 16, w/ Nevada advancing to the Elite Eight) until the 2nd Week. So without further adue, I bring to you my amazing scenarios for this upcoming weekend:
Scenario A
Dickie V’s Heart Attack:
YEAH BABY!!! So Texas A&M ruined us of our first Duke/UNC Championship Game, which would be instant cardiac arrest for College Basketball’s biggest promoter. But there’s plenty of Blue Bloods and Diaper Dandies remaining for Vitale to druel over.
SOUTH – Kentucky
WEST – Michigan
EAST – Villanova
MIDWEST – Duke (over Kansas, on a Grayson Allen buzzer-beater, sending Vitale into a frenzy where he storms the court & is the first person to tackle Allen)

Scenario B
Final Four Bowl:
If the school’s football programs battled it out, it would be one Bobby Bowden scrambled mess:
SOUTH – Kansas State (K-State Football Coach Bill Snyder is the only person in the world older than Bobby Bowden)
WEST – Florida State
EAST – West Virginia (Bowden’s 1st Head Coaching gig)
MIDWEST – Clemson (Bowden’s son, Tommy, once coached the Tigers)

Scenario C
What I’d LIKE to see happen:
You have no heart if you wouldn’t love seeing Loyola’s Sister Jean twirling her rosary around for the Ramblers on a magic carpet ride to San Antonio! And I’d love to see West Virginia’s full court pressure against a Clemson team that would have to beat Kansas and most likely Duke in back-to-back games to get to San Antonio.
SOUTH – Loyola Chicago
WEST – Florida State
EAST – West Virginia
MIDWEST – Clemson
Scenario D
What WILL happen:
Coach Calipari had his young Kentucky Wildcats tripping over themselves all season long. Now, the kids fell into a bed of four-leaf clovers over the past weekend, and as the 5-seed are the top seed remaining in the obliterated South Regional. Texas A&M has played as good of basketball as anyone in their 2 games so far, and it reminds me of South Carolina’s run last year. West Virginia plays the exact style of ball that can rattle a very solid Villanova team, and get them to shoot themselves out of the game. And in the Midwest Regional, Clemson will continue on it’s roll past Kansas, only to run into a familiar nemesis in Duke, and the Blue Devils will send the Tigers home.
SOUTH – Kentucky
WEST – Texas A&M
EAST – West Virginia
MIDWEST – Duke
Are we headed towards a Kentucky/Duke showdown (and an endless barrage of Christian Laettner highlights)? Or will we be given the blessing of some new blood to enjoy their One Shining Moment? Check back next week, until then, enjoy the games everyone!
