Dunedin, Fla.– Steve Tolleson hit his third home run of the spring and the Blue Jays beat the crosstown spring time rival Philadelphia Phillies 4-1.  Tolleson’s home run came on a 2-2 pitch in the 8th inning off Philadelphia reliever Ken Giles.  Giles took the loss dropping to 1-1 on the spring.

Aaron Sanchez started for the Jays and pitched a solid 5 1/3 innings giving up a run on two hits.  Cole Hamels started for the Phillies and also had a solid spring outing piching five innings, giving up two hits a striking five.  Hamels did scatter four walks but keep the base runners for scoring.

BTW, Ryan Howard was 0 for 4 with a strikeout…
