With the Toronto Blue Jays announcing a regulation dirt infield being installed at the Rogers Centre in Toronto the new regulation dirt half field at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium nears completion.  Formally an artificial surface but was changed this past fall after an incident during spring training 2015 that saw Marcus Stroman injure his left knee causing him to miss most of the 2015 regular season.  It has been learned that a new artificial half field installed at the team’s Mattick Complex this past summer cost in the neighborhood of 40K.  That coupled with the rehab of Field One at the complex added another 100K in costs.  It’s unknown who is paying for the three projects, the City of Dunedin or the Toronto Blue Jays.
