TAMPA, JULY 9, 2015 – USF senior punter Mattias Ciabatti (Tampa) has been named to the 2015 Ray Guy Award Watch list as one of the top punters in college football. Amember of the National College Football Awards Association (NCFAA), the Ray Guy Award has been presented annually since 2000 to the nation’s top collegiate punter by the Augusta Sports Council.

Ciabatti joins USF sophomore running back Marlon Mack (Sarasota) and senior tight end Sean Price (Citra), earlier named to the Maxwell Award and Mackey Award Watch Lists respectively, among three Bulls represented on preseason national award watch lists. Ciabatti is one of two American Athletic Conference punters to make the preseason list of 25 players on the Ray Guy Award Watch List.

Ciabatti returns for his senior campaign after a stellar season in 2014 in which he led the American Athletic Conference in punting and finished 10th nationally averaging 44.4 yards on 65 punts. His average set a USF season record as he earned first-team All-American Athletic Conference honors. He led the conference with 22 punts downed inside the 20-yard line and 16 punts of 50 yards or more, while earning American Conference Player of the Week honors and CFPA National Punter of the Week accolades.

Ciabatti enters his senior campaign on pace to become the Bulls’ all-time career leader in punts, punting yardage and punting average. He earned his degree in civil engineering in the spring with over a 3.5 grade-point average and is currently pursuing a master’s of business administration degree.
