USF To Hold 11 Football Camps

TAMPA, FLA– Aspiring football players will have a chance to take their game to the next level under the guidance of the Bulls’ coaching staff at 11 USF Football Camp opportunities in June and July.
USF is conducting camps for various ages and skill levels at the Morsani Football Complex and off-campus locations in Fort Myers, Miami, Panama City and Jacksonville. All camp information and registration forms can be accessed at www.usffootballcamps.com.
The USF Football Camp summer slate starts June 6 on campus with the USF One Day Camp, which is open to high school students entering grades 9-12. Instruction will be provided to all position groups by the USF coaching staff along with head coach Jim Harbaugh’s University of Michigan staff. Register HERE.
The Junior Bulls Camp is set for June 8-10 and is open to students entering grades 1-8 that want to learn the basic fundamentals of football. Head coach Willie Taggart and his staff will teach campers proper fundamentals with an emphasis on making football a fun experience. Register HERE.
Football players in grades 9-12 can participate in two different camps June 13 on on the USF campus. Participants in the Willie Taggart Quarterback Academy will receive individual instruction on the fundamentals of the position from the USF staff. Register HERE. The Specialist Camp is open to kickers, punters and long snappers that want to pick up valuable tips from members of the Bulls coaching staff. Register HERE.
Action continues at the Morsani Complex June 14-17 with the Team Padded Camp designed for high school teams (maximum of six). Skill players and linemen in grades 9-12 will get position specific instruction and the chance to compete against other teams in seven-on-seven drills, inside drills, one-on pass blocking/rushing and one-on receiver/defensive back drills. The final two on-campus camps of the summer take place July 18-19. The Big Man Camp is designed for offensive and defensive linemen in grades 9-12 with four sessions on fundamentals and technique work taught by the USF coaching staff. Register HERE.
The Big Man Camp is held in conjunction with the Sling and Shoot Camp, which is the largest 7-on-7 passing tournament in the Southeast. Teams are placed in brackets and will play games in a Round Robin format to determine seeding for a single-elimination playoff. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of eight games. Register HERE.
The USF coaching staff will hit the road to four different locations for the USF Satellite Camps that take place in Fort Myers (June 11), Miami (June 12), Panama City (June 18) and Jacksonville (June 19). USF Satellite Camps are for boys entering grades 9-12 and participants will take part in on-field practice sessions, agility drills and position specific drills. USF returns 13 starters (5 offense, 7 defense and 1 specialist) for Taggart’s third season at the helm. The Bulls will return their top five tacklers (9 the top 12 overall) and players that accounted for 73 percent of the team’s tackles in 2014. USF returns 100 percent of its rushing yardage from 2014, including 1,000-yard rusher Marlon Mack, and 50 percent of its receptions and receiving yards.
The USF Football program completed its 18th season and 15th at the FBS level. The Bulls have made six bowl appearances, including every season between 2005-10, and have four bowl game victories. USF has produced 14 All-America selections, 23 NFL Draft picks and reached the No. 2 ranking in the Associated Press Poll in 2007.
