Viola has a Tough Outting
By Eddie Michels on July 21, 2014DUNEDIN, FLA.–The Dunedin Blue Jays 30-year old Frank Viola III comeback appears to hit a snag on Sunday July 20, 2014 as he and his knuckle ball only lasted 4 2/3 innings against the Bradenton Marauders. Viola allowed 10-runs on nine hits while walking five and striking out three. Now if that wasn’t bad enough Viola hit three batters, two of which are Canadians. 3B Eric Wood and RF Walker Gourley were both hit in the first inning. Viola’s record dropped to 1-2 with a 12.06 ERA. Dunedin dropped a 11-5 decision to Bradenton snapping a three game win streak.
Viola was released on Monday July 21st.
