, Florida –   Former Waltham resident Kevin McLellan and his wife Karin have taken a horrific tragedy and are turning it into something positive.  Their 15yr old son Tyler was killed in a “Angel Flight” plane crash in Tampa in 2008.  Just days after Tyler’s death, the McLellan’s started the Tyler McLellan Foundation a 501 (c) 3 non profit organization.  The foundation is geared towards rewarding perseverance and not allowing a family’s finances to hold players back.

McLellan has been a New England Patriots season ticket holder since 1995 and using this as a tool to help their cause, they will start the 3rd Annual Pats vs Colts ticket raffle fundraiser on September 1st.  The main prize will be: two VIP  tickets (Sec. 108 Row 8)  to the Patriots vs  Colts game on December 4, 2011  in Foxboro.  The drawing will be November 27, 2011.

McLellan says: “last year as Karin & I were deciding the prizes and incentives of the new packages for this year, we decided we wanted to give something back to the kids in Waltham, being a past member, the Boys & Girls Club was the most obvious choice, and this is all about the kids”.  The Boys & Girls Club will receive 25% of proceeds from the raffle.

McLellan adds: “the Grand Prize winner will receive: 2 VIP tickets (Sec.108 Row 9) to the game, one night stay at the Cambridge Marriott, limousine service to & from the game, along with dinner for two at the Chateau Restaurant.

We will also have prize packages for the most tickets sold by an individual and  by a company, along with various locations throughout the Waltham and Boston area to buy the raffle tickets.
