Wetlands not so Protected
By Eddie Michels on June 17, 2019The photo was taken on February 8, 2019 at 10:10 AM just three days prior to the citizen owned Louis A. Vanech Complex being blocked from public access. It was blocked so that construction could start on the Toronto Blue Jays new complex. It has been learned that this is a protected wet land and possibly contains Native American Indian artifacts like the wetlands adjacent to field one does at the Englebert Complex.
The site map presented to the city and its citizens on September 26, 2016 shows a green protected area where the damage has been done.
This is the edge of the wetlands off Garrison Rd and why they are pumping from a hole in the ground to the protected wetlands? Then if this isn’t bad enough an individual might ask where are the cases holding the required building permits eh?
