The photo was taken on February 8, 2019 at 10:10 AM just three days prior to the citizen owned Louis A. Vanech Complex being blocked from public access.  It was blocked so that construction could start on the Toronto Blue Jays new complex.  It has been learned that this is a protected wet land and possibly contains Native American Indian artifacts like the wetlands adjacent to field one does at the Englebert Complex.

The site map presented to the city and its citizens on September 26, 2016 shows a green protected area where the damage has been done.

This is the edge of the wetlands off Garrison Rd and why they are pumping from a hole in the ground to the protected wetlands?  Then if this isn’t bad enough an individual might ask where are the cases holding the required building permits eh?

This photo was taken on Saturday the 15th and shows the wetlands at the citizen owned Vanech Complex that have been damaged by the Gilbane Contractors for the Toronto Blue Jays new complex.  As one can see trees were removed and it appears the protected wetland has been filled in.  As a note the site plans presented to the City of Dunedin officials and the general public on September 26, 2016 show none of this destruction.

The site for the Blue Jays new clubhouse is under construction in Dunedin.  Originally a softball field at the citizen owned Vanech Complex the area was converted to Field 3 at the Englebert Complex in 2002. (EDDIE MICHELS PHOTO)
