The Toronto Blue Jays are finally redoing field one at their Mattick Complex in Dunedin, the field where  supposedly a sprinkler head caused damage to outfielder Michael Saunders left knee.  The hole pictured is where the supposed culprit of a sprinkler head had been for about 30-plus years causing no reported injuries to anyone except Saunders.  It’s understood that the head is presently hiding amongst those others removed from the field.  Saunders on the other hand is said will be ready to return to the Blue Jays next season.

Michael Saunders looks a bit unsteady as he exits the Blue Jays clubhouse with his new crutches and knee brace. Saunders tore the meniscus in his left knee on Wednesday when he stepped on a sprinkler head during drills at the team's minor league complex. "The sooner the better", said John Gibbons when ask when Saunders was going to have surgery while Saunders said, "My goal is to me in a major league game by the all star break." Toronto will hold their first full squad workout on Friday. (EDDIE MICHELS/PHOTO)
