DUNEDIN, Fla.—Yankees lefty Chris Capuano needed just 24-pitches, 16 for strikes to get through two scoreless innings in an extended spring game against the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Suffering from a strained right quad, Capuano is glad to be back in route to the majors.

“It’s feels really good today, there were no problems,” said Capuano of the quad, “I was a little rusty with the pitches but the body feels good.  I’m looking forward to getting on the five day routine now.”

As to when his next start will be Capuano said, “I will pitch on Monday (extended spring) and go three innings.”
