Bulls, Flowers and the “30 for 23” Club
By Jordan Raiff on October 17, 2017Tampa, Fla. – – Coming into Saturday’s game USF had racked up 30+ points in their last 22 games, as well as being ranked 18th in the Nation with a 5-0 record, and 10 game winning streak. Led by quarterback Quinton Flowers, The USF Bulls have proven themselves a force to be reckoned with this season. Unfortunately for winless Cincinnati, this was not a freight train they wanted to get in front of. Despite their best efforts the Bearcats could not get their defense to effectively show up, and the offense while determined was unable to get anything major going. With Cincinnati missing its only other field goal opportunity, they have a long way to go to be a truly cohesive and successful team.
Flowers lead the way with 184 yards passing and 80 yards rushing (with a TD), as well as Auggie Sanchez racking up an INT touchdown, and Emilio Nadelman notching 4 field goals too; showcasing a solid example of why they should be moved up to a better division. The defense is no slouch either. Allowing the Bearcats to gain only 273 total yards, the Bulls also picked up a fumble in addition to the interception.
