 “I finally did it. I’ve been blessed my whole life. I continue to be blessed. I’m quite honored to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. I want to thank the committee. It’s tough to decide on who to vote for and not to vote for. It’s a great honor to unanimously be voted in,” McGriff said (via MLB).

In 19 seasons McGriff was a five-time all-star batting .284 with 493 HR and 1550 RBI. McGriff excelled in the postseason with a .303batting average, 10 HR and 37 RBI in 50 postseason games.

In the 1994 strike shortened season McGriff was the all-star MVP, runner-up in the HR derby. When the season came to an abrupt end McGriff was batting .318 with 34 HRs.
