Tarpon Springs, Fla.–Florida Hospital North Pinellas invites the community to join them for free skin cancer screenings in honor of “Melanoma  Monday” on May 6 from 9:00AM to 12:00PM.

World-renowned Surgical Oncologist, Douglas S. Reintgen, M.D., who was a guest co-host on the Rocket Sports & Entertainment Show April 13th, and Director of Oncology, Rosemary Giuliano, ARNP, will host the event at the Surgical Institute located on the hospital campus at 1501 Alternate 19 South, Suite T, Tarpon Springs.

This event is free and open to the public, reservations are not required, and walk-ins are welcome and encouraged. For more information, please call (727) 934-6797.

Melanoma is a cancer that can occur anywhere on the skin and is almost always curable in its early stages. Melanoma is the seventh most common cancer for women, and it is one of the three cancers with an increasing mortality rate for men. Eighty-six percent of all melanomas can be attributed to the exposure to the UV radiation from the sun.
