LIGHTNING RECALL DEFENSEMAN JAKE DOTCHIN FROM SYRACUSE

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled defenseman Jake Dotchin from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today.
Dotchin, 22, has skated in three games with the Lightning this season, collecting six penalty minutes and four shots on goal. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound defenseman made his NHL debut with the Lightning on January 21 against the Arizona Coyotes. Dotchin has also skated in 33 games with the Crunch, posting three goals and 12 points to go along with a team-high 77 penalty minutes. He has played in 155 career AHL games, all with Syracuse over the past three seasons, tallying 10 goals and 43 points to go along with 311 penalty minutes.
The Cambridge, Ontario native was originally drafted by the Lightning in the sixth round, 161st overall, at the 2012 NHL Draft.
