Tarpon Springs Spongers on the Radio Again this Year
By ROCKET SPORTS and ENTERTAINMENT NETWORK on August 29, 2013Tarpon Springs, Fla. – For the second year in a row, Rocket Sports & Entertainment Network has partnered up with broadcast sponsor Florida Hospital of North Pinellas to bring you Tarpon Springs high school football action over the Tan Talk Radio Network.
Rocket Sports & Entertainment Network will broadcast all the regular season games of the Tarpon Springs Spongers on WTAN 1340AM Clearwater. Rick Sassone and Travis Failey will be calling the action live from Tarpon Springs High School and all the road venues.
Air-time will begin at 7:05pm ET with the pre-game show and kick-off is 7:30pm.
Rick Sassone of Rocket Sports & Entertainment Network said, “After a successful year last year, our organization is looking forward to another great season. We will be focusing on even better coverage and broadcasts than 2102. I can’t wait to get back in the booth with Travis (Failey) again.”
Jennifer Candler, Director of Marketing and Public Relations Manager for Florida Hospital of North Pinellas said, “We are proud to support the Tarpon Springs High School football team again this year, both on and off the field, and are excited to partner with such an integral part of our community.” DeCurtis continued, “Our hope is that by helping to bring the games to the radio waves, the families, friends and fans of our Tarpons Springs Spongers will have the opportunity to cheer on their favorite team, even if they can’t make it to the game.”

The support that they give us allows us to spread the word about Tarpon Football, and great things our kids do on the field and in the community.
