If there is one word or adjective to describe the 2015 South Florida Bulls its “NEW.”  New QB.  New Offensive and defensive coordinator.  New offensive and defensive scheme.  NEW ATTITUDE!

Quinton Flowers is the new QB for the Bulls.  He will be making his 2nd ever career start and will be charged with leading the new up tempo spread offense installed by new offensive coordinator Danny Hope and David Reeves.  Marlon Mack is back and looking to improve on his 1,000 yard performance from last year.

New is also in on defense.  Tom Allen is the new defensive coordinator and will be debuting the Bulls new 4-2-5 defensive scheme which looks to minimize spread offenses and allow defenders to use their athletic ability to create turnovers.

The Bulls opponent, Florida A & M is new as well.  Not new as in first time program new but new in terms of coaching.  After finishing the 2014 season 3-9 and averaging just 288 yards and 17 points per game, the Rattlers let go of their coaching staff.  Enter Alex Wood, who was offensive coordinator at university of Buffalo last year.  The Rattlers defense was just as atrocious as their offense, allowing opponents to rack up 26 points and 366 yards per game.

The last time these two teams met was 2011 with USF winning 70-0.  While the Bulls won’t put up 70 points in this game, this “new” team will make an impression.

Bulls win 35-13
