Opening Day Line up for Johnson
By Kris Dunn on March 25, 2015
The Red Sox enter 2015 with a mixed bag of expectations. Many predict the Red Sox to win the division however, several feel the lack of a true-ace will prevent them from contending. One pitcher certainly making his case to break camp and head to Philadelphia on Opening Day is Brian Johnson.
After a solid Spring Training campaign, Johnson could earn a bullpen spot.
If he is disappointed when final cuts are made and he starts the season in Triple-A, Johnson may not have to wait long before being called up.
To put a positive spin on a potential start in the minors. Johnson would probably be part of an extremely talented rotation in Pawtucket. One that is shaping up to consist of Henry Owens and Eduardo Rodriguez, the club’s No. 2 and No. 3 rated prospects, respectively, according to MLB.com
