Arrieta Rocked as Bucos Pound Phils

Phillies starter Jake Arrietta was light up like a the Rockefeller Christmas tree by the Pirates which ended in an 11-2 Pirate drubbing.
In 3 1/3 innings the Pirates had six hits, scored five runs all earned off Arrieta. Arrieta issued three walks and gave up two bombs one to Adam Frazier and one to Corey Dickerson.

Kevin Newman was a big bat going 3-4 for the Pirates with a two-run homer and three RBI. Starling Marte had a homer and 2 RBI going 2-4 at the dish. Melky Carbrera and Corey Dickerson had two hits a piece and Coiln Moran was 1-2 with a 3-HR off Phillies reliever Juan Nicasio.
Andrew Knapp had two hits for the Phillies.
Pittsburgh starter Trevor Williams got the win to go to 1-1 on the spring with a strong outing. Williams went five innings giving up only one run on three hits with four Ks.
