Bouchey hurls two shutout Innings

Canadian Brayden Bouchey of White Rock, BC tossed two shutout innings in a Gulf Coast League pre season game on Tuesday against the Phillies.  Drafted in the 33 rd round by the Blue Jays Bouchey walked one and struck out one throwing 29-pitches. (EDDIE MICHELS PHOTO)      

Colabello Singles, Doubles, Homers

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder/first baseman Chris Colabello missed hitting for the cycle by a triple on Monday during a Gulf Coast League preseason game.  Colabello on a questionable 80-game suspension for performance enhancing drugs only batted three time during the game.

Cecil throws 24

Lefty Brett Cecil (left lat) threw 24-pitches in a shortened inning on Saturday against recent Jays draft picks.  With a 90-91 MPH fastball and a 82-83 MPH breaking ball Cecil said afterwards, “I feel good.”  It’s not known when Cecil will pitch next. (EDDIE MICHELS PHOTO)

Franklin Morales InterSquad Action

  Franklin Morales (left) threw one inning during an inter squad game on Saturday facing mostly recent Jays draft picks.  Morales allowed one unearned run on one hit while striking out two.  It isn’t known yet when he will pitch again.

Tulowitzki plays for D-Jays

Tulo at Intersquad

Troy Tulowitzki (right oblique) went 1-2 with two walks on Wednesday in an inter squad game at the Blue Jays Mattick Complex.  Tulowitzki also played errorless ball at short.  The game possibly was his last one before starting a rehab assignment with either Class-A Dunedin or Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday.
