The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have selected the contract of LHP SCOTT DIAMOND, while L/RHP PATT VENDITTE has been optioned to Buffalo (AAA). To make room on the 40-man roster LHP FRANKLIN MORALES has been transferred to the 60-day disabled list.

DIAMOND, 29, has spent 2016 in Buffalo posting a 4-6 record with a 3.16 ERA in 12 starts. The Guelph, Ontario native has made 58 starts over three seasons, all with Minnesota, going 19-27 with a 4.43 ERA.
